About Us
The Central Massachusetts Polymer Clay Guild (CMPCG) was founded in 1998 by Katherine Baptista. The Guild provides a forum for polymer clay enthusiasts to meet and discuss their discoveries with polymer clay.
The Guild meets on the third Saturday of each month, except December, at the Burlington Library in Burlington, Massachusetts. We try to keep to the third Saturday, however, due to the library's schedule, the meeting dates may fluctuate slightly. The meetings agenda includes the sharing of member’s work, also know as “show and tell,” discussion of polymer clay news, demonstrations or video review. We plan to schedule dedicated clay days once a quarter.
The Guild recently started monthly bead swaps for members. The swaps are open to any member that wants to participate. A theme is chosen by the members at the current monthly meeting. The beads are swapped at the next scheduled meeting. A minimum of one bead per swapper is reserved for the Guild’s bead strand. Our goal is to display the beads at the library where we meet.
The Guild is open to clayers of all levels and abilities. Children must be 16 years old to participate. Adults should be children at heart. The guild does not currently collect membership dues.
